Position: Job Developer
Job Description: Greater West Town Community Development Project is looking for a Job Developer who is responsible for identifying local business throughout Chicago with hiring needs in order to create opportunities for jobseekers. Candidates with demonstrated 3-5 years of job placement, workforce development, recruiting, and customer relations experience will be given priority consideration.
- Assess employment and educational needs of low-income community residents.
- Assist job seekers in finding career opportunities and prepare them for interview process.
- Specialize in maintaining a portfolio of current business partners and identify new business throughout Chicago.
- Maintain and update case files, program documentation, and external data tracking systems
- Network with community agencies to provide access to supportive services for their clients.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of related college course work and work experience.
- Prior experience with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult programs and Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) very helpful.
- Prior sales, recruiting and/or account management experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated commitment to community service and previous experience working with low-income populations through prior professional and/ or volunteer experience.
- Basic computer proficiency including use of online database search and record keeping systems.

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time permanent position. Salary is $43,000, annualized based on experience. GWTP's benefits package includes health, life and disability insurance, retirement plan, education assistance, paid benefit time, and bonus program.
