Job Summary:

The ICS Component & Systems Profit Improvement team is seeking a new, entrepreneurial-minded individual to help implement an eCommerce Marketplace. This position will enable you to gain cross organizational exposure, hone your business skills and deliver direct measurable OPACC benefits for the company. Candidates should have strong analytical and business understanding, excellent communication skills, operate well within a diverse team environment, and have proven critical reasoning abilities.

What You Will Do:

This position will operate within a broader team to define and implement a new business solution aimed at consolidating supply base purchases through a new marketplace. This individual will help create and pilot a new Marketplace connecting our supply base with base component manufacturers (OCMs) for improved buy.  The selected candidate will call on Caterpillar suppliers and OCMs for education and onboarding. Additionally, the selected individual will engage with cross functional resources in Engineering, Legal, Tax, BR and Procurement to support the new business initiative.  In this role, you would become an integral part of a team focused on delivering this solution.  Key job functions would include:

• Brainstorm and refine the business opportunity.
• Analyze and translate data into meaningful business information.
• Publish internal white papers for business processes.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 Suppliers to educate and onboard.
• Define meaningful financial metrics for governance and to drive continuous improvement.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree or higher

Additional Information

The location for this position is Mossville, IL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position will require less than 10% travel.
