St Julien Hotel & Spa is looking for personable and engaging Hosts for Jill's Restaurant. The primary responsibilities of this position include taking reservations, greeting, and seating guests. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, we are looking for Hosts who can make a positive, lasting impression and help to ensure that our guests have had a luxurious and memorable experience!



Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet every guest and associate with eye contact and a sincere, friendly smile.
  • Accurately book reservations and confirm all information for accuracy prior to closing the interaction.
  • Alert Manager and service personnel of special instructions (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
  • Escort guests to their table and inform the appropriate server of the guest's arrival.
  • Help control flow of the restaurant by giving reasonable seating assignments and helping servers when necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of the OpenTable system.
  • Perform callbacks and confirmations in accordance with restaurant reservations.
  • Take pride in presenting a professional image; adheres to grooming and personal appearance policy.
  • Prepare host station for each shift, including checking all menus for accuracy and overall cleanliness.
  • Other duties as requested by manager.


Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience required. Previous restaurant and/or host experience highly preferred.
  • Ideal candidate is someone with an outgoing and positive attitude, who will make a great first impression on guests, can multitask effectively, and who is a team player.
  • Valid TIPS certification required, or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
  • Must have open and flexible availability and be able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
