Morton & Rudolph Jewelers is seeking a Jewelry Sales Associate! We are searching for a candidate who is organized and self motivated, has an outgoing personality, and someone with a team player mentality. We provide training on sales techniques, as well as product knowledge, in order to take your career to the next level.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service
- Develop strong product knowledge across all categories
- Understand and utilize our POS system
- Ability to assess customer needs and wants; answer customer questions and concerns
- Provide appropriate product recommendations
- Ability to work as a team with the rest of the staff to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participate in all areas of the store’s operation including but not limited to merchandising, displays, administrative needs, and maintenance
- Process sales transactions, special orders, and repairs using the POS register system
- Follow opening and closing procedures thoroughly
- Ability to converse and form relationships with clientele and vendors
- Demonstrate quick problem solving to satisfy customer needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Certification from the G.I.A. (or equivalent education) such as A.J.P., Graduate Diamonds, or Graduate Gemologist (preferred, not required)
- Ability to multitask
- Superior organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self motivated
- Experience in fine Jewelry Sales or luxury retail
- Superior communication skills
- High internal motivation and strong attention to detail
- Positive and outgoing personality
- Ability to conduct transactions electronically
- Adept in time management, organization, and dependability
- Flexibility in schedule to work Saturdays and some evening hours
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
