Java Architect
Cognizant is looking for a dynamic Java architect with experience designing and developing sophisticated software systems and applications. The individual will work with product owners, domain experts, and product managers to design and deliver customer value. The role is expected to lead several software engineers in the delivery of custom cloud native applications. The individual in this role will ensure that standard methodologies are followed and that quality code is delivered. Lastly, Cognizant needs an individual that loves to collaborate with other technologists and enjoys mentoring and coaching.

- J2EE technologies: Java, JSP,, JAXB, JDBC,
- Frameworks: Spring Framework, Spring Boot
- Database & Database persistence : MongoDB, Azure SQL DB, Oracle, Object/Relational Mapping, Query performance tuning,
- Streaming / Messaging : Kafka and/or IBM MQ
- Cloud-based development: Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google cloud
- Web Services: REST (JSON/XML)
- Front-end: Angular
- Build/deployment tools: Maven, Gradle, Git and GitHub, Jenkins/GitHub actions
- Testing frameworks: Junit, Mockito
- Web Servers: Tomcat, tc Server, Websphere
- Caching frameworks: Redis
- Cloud-based development: Microsoft Azure
- Streaming / Messaging : Apache Flink
- API: GraphQL
- ADO/Jira
Key Qualifications:
- 10 to 15 years of experience in leading larger program.
