Position: Japanese Translator – Night Shift
Location: Reno, NV (ONSITE)
Assignment Length: Through September 2024
Work Hours: 7pm-7am
Hours Per week: 40

PURPOSE/ MISSION OF TEAM: translation support for training processes

Essential Duties:

Interpret between Japanese expats and local staff.
Provide interpretation for various onsite meetings as wells as telephone and web conferences.
Translate technical and non-technical documents including policies, instructions and manuals when necessary.
Compose and translate emails, reports etc.
Required to translate both Japanese to English and English to Japanese.
Other duties may assign by management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for -specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment.
If Client eventually converts the contractor, they can provide their standard relocation lump sum to them. That would depend on mileage between their home address and the factory.
Client uses the Whitney Peak hotel for the Translators, typically providing a day before and one day after their assignment, as well.
Basic High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field.
Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English, excellent communication and writing skills.
Japanese/ English business language skills.
Translator / interpreter experience in a business/ technical environment, manufacturing industry preferred.
Ability to translate quickly and accurately.
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
