This position works as a member of a custodial team providing cleaning services for a federal worksite.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of technical skills required in commercial janitorial work, which may include skills in equipment maintenance and operation
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50lbs. and use assistive equipment to move materials
- Must be able to complete and pass a Criminal Background Investigation
- clean assigned area as instructed by following description of routine work
- Report any concerns or issues to Crew Supervisor
- Request supplies for assigned area as needed
- maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety regulations and work rules
Examples of Routine Work
The following is a list of routine work required in this position. This list does not comprise an exhaustive listing and other duties may be assigned within the scope of the position. Routine work may include sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, wet mopping, waxing floors, vacuuming rugs and carpeted areas, cleaning restrooms (toilets, sinks, floors), restocking of restroom items, cleaning windows and other glass surfaces, dusting and cleaning furniture, furniture legs, cleaning walls and other above surfaces, cleaning carpets, use of power equipment such as buffers and auto-scrubbers, emptying trash, replacing trash liners,clean stairwells and/ or elevators, laundering of cleaning equipment (wiping cloths, mop heads, dust mop heads), and salting of sidewalks during winter.
