The custodian or janitor is responsible for keeping the workplace clean, organized and disinfected.
Examples of tasks the custodian or janitor include but are not limited to:
- Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
- Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
- Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed, keep inventory repositories organized and cleaned
- Maintain outdoor grounds free from trash and debris
- Touch up paint inside and outside of our office space
- Stock restroom supplies
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Clean kitchen, breakroom, conference rooms, training rooms, and all other office spaces
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Clean and maintain restrooms
- Washing and clean windows and mirrors
- Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
- Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Complete all assigned quarterly maintenance and cleaning tasks including but not limited to:
- Washing carpets
- Washing baseboards
- Washing doors and door frames
- Cleaning Light Lenses
- Washing AC return vents
- Scrubbing (deck scrubbing floor surfaces)
- Moving Furniture and Cleaning Behind
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
