JOB SUMMARY
The Custodian will ensure the buildings are tidy, clean and well-maintained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures.
Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Waxing furniture and cleaning fixtures.
Disposing of trash and emptying trash receptacles.
Performing minor repairs.
Keeping building free from indoor pests.
Maintaining cleaning equipment.
Maintaining offices, break rooms, bathrooms throughout shift.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and agents.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Proficient with handling basic maintenance repairs.
Physically agile and dexterous.
Available to work after hours.
Resilient to cleaning agents and chemicals.
Outstanding organizational skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED Certificate
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out.
Prolong standing or in stationary position.
Complete repetitive movements.
Bend and/or twist.
Lift, move, transport items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities/
Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection).
