The Travel and Expense Administrator provides analytical, administrative, and management support for the IT Business Operations team as well as the IT Division. This individual is expected to research, analyze, coordinate, interpret, and recommend courses of action on projects in which the department is responsible. This position will exercise initiative, originality, good judgment, and independence in applying established principles and practices to new and unusual problems. Will be responsible for project coordination for facilities, parking, safety, and administration related projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating variety of tasks and/or projects.
  • Experience working in building and facility operations.
  • Experience working with budget and financial information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio, and other productivity suite of applications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including use of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure in composing reports, correspondence, and summaries to convey proper intent.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and research large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of methods to interpret and enforce UCDHS/UCD policies, including personnel policies.
  • Knowledge of institutional standards, computer systems and office automation software.
  • Knowledge of university forms and procedures to be followed.

Department Description
This position is in the UC Davis Health Information Technology Business Operations (ITBO) team, reporting to IT Building and Administration Manager The ITBO department supports the business functions of the IT Division, including IT Finance, IT Procurement and Asset Management, IT HR, and IT Facilities management. The IT division has 600+ employees, with a combined operating and capital budget of over $250M.
Position Information
  • Salary or Pay Range: $27.98-$47.00 per hour.
  • Salary Frequency: Hourly

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Must be able to work overtime and variable schedule as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
