The IT Telecommunications Engineer I is responsible for the daily operations of the Telecommunications Department. The Telecom Engineer I responsibilities include but are not limited to creating, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting Voice-Collaboration System; Interaction with end-users, ISP and Cellular Carriers, and 3rd party vendors on projects. The candidate needs a detailed understanding of telecommunications theory and practice. They should have solid technical skills and interpersonal and organizational abilities. Experience working with the specific hardware used in the company's telecommunications system and with cabling and transmission test equipment is highly valued.
Minimum Requirements
- A Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a Telecom engineer position.
- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications or related field (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Must have experience and working knowledge with:
- Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM), Unity, Cisco Emergency Responder (CER)
- Cisco Unified Contact Center (UCCX - Cisco Finesse), WebEx Contact Center (WxCC)
- Collaboration Platforms, Cisco Jabber, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Teams.
- Video Collaboration Solutions for Meeting Rooms, like WebEx Video Bars and WebEx Boards.
- Call recording systems like Eleveo and Dubber and voice system call accounting.
- SIP trunk, WebEx Calling, Voice Gateways (VGs (CUBE), AVGs)
- 2RING Dashboard and 2RING Gadgets for Cisco Finesse.
- Virtual Machines, VMware ESXi.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Cisco Certified Specialist - Collaboration Core - required
CCNA - required
CCNP Collaboration Certification is required
An Active Voice-Collaboration or Network Certification is required and needs to be maintained
Note: Individuals who are newly hired into the organization or promoted from within, and who do not have the required certifications will be given an initial time period in which the certifications must be successfully earned. Once obtained, all required certifications must be maintained in good standing over the course of employment with Millennium Technology Group. Failure to acquire and/or maintain mandatory certifications may result in salary adjustments to reflect the individual's lower level of current qualification.
