As an IT Technician, you are a member of the EarthSoft IT team helping with both internal corporate IT and EQuIS Online Software-as-a-Service operations. Your tasks will be both reactive (assisting staff with IT hardware/software issues, provisioning/deprovisioning resources, mitigating and documenting operational issues and incidents, etc.) and proactive (planning for future growth, assisting with IT policy definition and adoption, performing disaster recovery tests, advising on information security, etc.). Some activities may require schedule flexibility (e.g., performing certain tasks outside of normal business hours, occasionally being “on call” for urgent issues).
Responsibilities (what you do):
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues for internal staff including
- Support approved software including EQuIS, Office 365 suite, etc.
- Analyze hardware faults and providing short term workarounds and long-term resolutions
- Analyze User’s local network configuration as it applies to trouble tickets
- Maintain EQuIS Online Azure Implementations
- Maintain up-time and stability of client production systems
- Update EQuIS Enterprise installations with varying client customizations
- Support EarthSoft Software Technologist troubleshooting efforts as the next level of support
- Support Product Development teams
- Support Management, Accounting, and Human Resources teams, as necessary.

- Ability to research, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems using a variety of resources and tools
- Strong software application aptitude
- Ability to use critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic understanding of EQuIS Software
- Familiarity with how EQuIS is implemented on Azure
- Willingness to learn and apply the learned information to performing assigned tasks. Able to work independently.
- Adaptability
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously, with input from team members and/or Manager as needed
- 5+ years of experience working with a variety of software applications, computer and networking hardware, and/or in the IT industry
- Some flexibility in work schedule by performing certain tasks outside of normal business hours
