Job Description
Bluewater is looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to help support our rapidly growing team. We have a dynamic team with a mixed in office/remote environment. Our infrastructure includes a wide range of operating systems, traditional IT hardware and video/TV production hardware that makes this a unique opportunity. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including network, hardware, software, cabling and user support. Additionally, you’ll be tasked with helping drive our team forward and continually increase the reliability and security of our systems and take advantage of new industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining servers, investigating and diagnosing network problems, and collecting IT usage stats.
- Making recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions.
- Actively maintain our equipment racks and server room.
- Handle install of new and maintenance of existing cabling, networking infrastructure, switches and racks.
- Maintain processes to handle user requests.
- Actively document our systems and processes to ensure seamless business continuity in all situations.
- Field adhoc helpdesk requests including, but not limited to, email/computer and phone set ups, phone/printer/computer issues, etc..
- Asset management – keeping track of all hardware.
- Responsible for purchasing all hardware and software needs as required/approved.
- Work with finance department to set annual budget for hardware and software.
- Manage phone systems and vendor. Responsible for maintaining phone stations and coordinating new phone set ups with vendor as needed.
- Responsible for managing passwords and software licenses.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an IT Systems Administrator.
- Experience managing desktop operating systems, particularly Windows, Windows Server (2016) Mac OS and Linux (server).
- Active Directory (Hybrid/Local – Azure/Office 356).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, particularly:
- Servers
- NAS Servers (QNAP Preferably)
- Networking – Both wired and Wi-Fi
- Cyber Security
- Office 365 Management.
- PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Hands on experience of installing and mainlining IT hardware and software.
- Good organizational skills and time management.
- Interested in new technology and keeping us up to date and efficient.
- Strong communication skills.
- Azure Experience.
