Position Summary:

STS Aviation Group is seeking a Junior IT Systems Analyst who will be primarily responsible for fulfilling IT support requests and maintaining the health and security of personal computer systems, server systems, IT infrastructure, and related peripheral equipment. This role involves setting up, managing, and troubleshooting various software, SaaS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, printers, mobile phones, Wi-Fi, and VoIP phones. Additionally, the position includes special projects related to IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide helpdesk support for computers, networks, IT infrastructure, and phone systems, resolving IT issues as they arise.
  • Monitor and process Helpdesk Requests, prioritizing tasks within skill set.
  • Modify configurations, access control, and software options for workstations, VDI, and applications.
  • Purchase and track IT equipment assignments.
  • Author, maintain, and follow internal IT procedural documentation.
  • Participate in special IT infrastructure projects as assigned.

Educational / Background / Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience or equivalent education in Information Technology.

Required Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA):

  • Strong customer service and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to support a wide variety of workstation configurations, mobile devices, IT infrastructure, and application software.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suite.
  • PC hardware configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Active Directory.
  • Ability to effectively support on-site and remote users.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information.
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and find solutions from various sources.
  • A “can-do” attitude with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA):

While not required, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn and master at least three or four of the following:

  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of VMWare stack from hardware to networking to storage to VMs.
  • Experience supporting Cisco UCS and HPE Nimble hardware, firmware, and configurations.
  • Experience supporting Citrix XenDesktop & XenApp software and configurations.
  • Veeam Backup & Replication, Fortinet Firewalls, and Switches.
  • Experience supporting database software like Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle DBMS.
  • Telecommunication experience with Digium PBX, VOIP Phone, and Mobile Device Management.
  • Ability to setup, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows DFS Replication.
  • Ability to analyze, setup, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory GPO settings.
  • Experience building and maintaining company Intranet on M365 SharePoint.
  • Working scripting knowledge of PowerShell, VBScript, or similar.
