IT Systems Administrator
· Candidate should be an US Citizenship and willingness to undergo company and client background investigations.
· The position is in Washington DC and candidate needs to be onsite 3 days a week
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of technical experience and detailed knowledge of:
· Installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of servers, server operating systems, and server applications not limited to Linux and Windows.
· Configuration, maintenance, and support for all aspects of the VMware virtual environment.
· Configuration, maintenance, and support for all aspects of Microsoft Active Directory.
· Configuration, maintenance, and support for NTP, DNS,SAN
· Installation, configuration, support, and maintenance on networking equipment such as switches and routers.
· Installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of all endpoint devices such as computers, printers, laptops, and peripherals.
· Handling of all end-users calls to the Helpdesk, and all on-site user support for hardware, software, applications, and general usage.
· Experience working with NAS - Dell Unity and monitoring tools like solarwinds, Authentiaction servers like surePass
· Experience working with Veritas products, backup servers and working with SSL Certificates
· Responsible for both the physical and logical wellbeing of the datacenter locations.
· Must be skilled in networking technologies and practices including but not limited to: switching/routing, server technologies (Microsoft Server OS, hardware, software), virtualization (VMware, SAN), MS Active Directory services, datacenter operations, workstation support (endusers/endpoints), helpdesk (service call & field technician), DNS/DHCP, Ubiquiti UniFi switches/routers both hardware and configuration/user interfaces and general network troubleshooting from datacenter to endpoints and beyond (apps, internet, etc.).
· Must be a self-starter who is able to identify technical needs, take action and troubleshoot under pressure with little or no support.
· Able to work intelligently with vendors on technical matters.
· Ability to manage IT related projects and interact professionally with vendors, staff, and stakeholders.
· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience in similar discipline required.
