IT System Administrator

Position Summary:
The IT System Administrator will support, troubleshoot, and maintain computer servers and networks, in addition to providing end user support for the organization. This includes, but not limited to, planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. This person will be required to work onsite, with remote flexibility.

Position Summary:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of each.
- Desktop support which provides staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program issues.
- Maintain and administer computer network and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software (including ERP system), applications software, company intranet, and all configurations.
- Secures and monitors all company systems, software and company information from security threats, viruses, or other damaging materials.
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications and virus protection software.
- Monitors the performance of computer systems and networks and coordinates Active Directory network access and use.
- Work closely with departmental managers to determine future network needs and plan for network changes.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of IT experience.
- A college degree or level of education, together with industry experience.
- Strong technical curiosity, security-minded, and a "let's figure it out" attitude.
- Strong communications skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
- Must be willing to be on call for IT emergencies.
Preferred Requirements:
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, Net+, Sec+, etc.
- Cloud platform experience and certifications such as AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with SonicWALL and Ubiquiti systems (WiFi/switches).
- Experience with TCP/IP protocol suite, DNS, DHCP, Internet Security, managed switches, and firewalls.
- Managing Microsoft Office O365.
- Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing VoIP telephone systems.
