IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR POSITION SUMMARY

The Systems Administrator is the highest-level tier technician for the Information technology department. The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting VitalCore’ s information technology systems. This includes all information technology hardware devices, software and infrastructure that meets the requirements for company production. This position candidate should hold In-depth knowledge of computing operating systems, hardware, advanced cloud-computing administration experience with Microsoft Azure, advanced knowledge of networking including LAN (Local Area Networks), WAN (Wide Area Networks) and VPN (Virtual Private Networks). This position will be responsible for maintaining backup solutions, implementing and assisting in disaster recovery for systems company wide. Preferably, this position will hold advanced security computing knowledge such as configuring and administering routers and firewalls. This position will assist in technical work with vendors to complete technology projects, provide support and maintenance for VitalCore systems. This position should hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred or minimum 5 years of experience working in Information Technology.
• CompTIA A+ Certification. CompTIA Network+ and Security+ Certification preferred. CCNA Certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) preferred.
• Automation and scripting experienced preferred.
• Cloud computing experience preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure administration.
• Occasional Travel required.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.

IT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide support and maintenance to VitalCore’ s technology systems including hardware, software and infrastructure.
• Document information technology issues, solutions, processes, and maintain them securely.
• Provide support to VitalCore’ s users through the Service Desk ticketing system via in person, phone or remotely.
• Document information technology issues and solutions in the Service Desk.
• Works with vendor’s technical teams to ensure our information systems are supported and maintained.
• Provide critical assistance in technology startup projects to meet deadlines.
• Help train staff with technical issues, software rollouts and information security concerns.
• Assist the Director of Information Technology Operations with critical projects as assigned.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
