Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work Hybrid with our client in Merritt Island, FL. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:
- As an IT System Administrator, you will support the IT Infrastructure and Engineering teams in deploying solutions to support the business.
- You will be responsible for deploying secure configurations and software, ensuring systems are built with security and resiliency at their forefront.
- You will serve as a point of escalation for support and troubleshooting customer issues.
- You will ensure our systems are ready and available for use by the rest of the organization.
- Contribute to the coordination and planning of various IT projects intended to continually improve the organization infrastructure and systems
- Develop and maintain Microsoft computing operational standards across Microsoft products including M365, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), InTune, AAD (Azure Active Directory), AD (Active Directory) and Azure.
- Installing Windows, Linux, and Red Hat operating systems, software, and testing, evaluating, and implementing system patches and upgrades
- Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware
- Conducting server builds
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues
- Performing system backups and recovery
- Support database administration
- Ensure system compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for improvement of the system.
- Support IT Operations in developing processes and runbooks
- Support the maturity of sound standards, practices, and procedures across the IT Organization
- Provide escalated support, mentoring, and technical leadership to other engineers within the organization.
- Develop documentation and runbooks that support the system.
- Assess systems and develop consolidation strategies and make recommendations.
- Support the generation of metrics and activities aligned with ISO9001 and ISO27001.

Hybrid Schedule - 2 days remote and 3 days on-site per week

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a System Administrator
- Minimum of 5 years experience working on FISMA regulated systems and the application of NIST Controls and best practices.
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in IT and OT environments.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with Microsoft stack technologies including Azure, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in leading development and operation of Azure solutions in both commercial and gov clouds
- Minimum of 5 years experience in designing Active Directory and Group Policies
- Minimum of 5 years experience with SQL and querying databases
- IT Certifications: CompTIA Data+, Linux+, Server+, SysOps Administrator. MS Certified Associate/Expert
- Excellent Problem solver; able to prioritize and coordinate between tasks.
- Can design and implement secure configuration solutions for Windows and Linux OS', along with MS Azure environments.
