It Support - Tier 1

Hypower is currently seeking an IT Support Assistant to join our team!

This is an hourly position ranging from $16 - $22 per hour based on experience. 

This position supports local and remote users by installing and maintaining hardware, software, and connectivity for phones, tablets, desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.  Operates with minimal supervision and keeps detailed real-time logs of tasks performed.  Understands company policies and procedures and explains to end-users as needed.  Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves problems within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.  Exhibits professionalism and empathy when interacting with end-users.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Tracks inventory of devices and supplies in real-time and requests restocking as needed.
• Monitors and updates tasks and projects in helpdesk ticketing software.
• Performs basic equipment diagnostics and repairs, coordinates with specialized outside vendors for more complex tasks.
• Visits jobsites to resolve matters individually or as part of a team.
• Exercises judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and determines when to refer problems to the supervisor or next level of support.
• Sets up and configures user accounts, devices, and software according to assigned access levels.
• Setup, inventory, and decommission of Mobile Devices (iPads, iPhones, Surfaces)
• Participates in evaluative testing for proposed hardware and software
• Troubleshoots diagnoses, and resolves problems within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate
• Maintains systems, databases, and web pages
• Designs and produces basic reports
• Backs up and/or transfers computer files between various platforms
• Provides basic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for computer equipment
• Assist with antivirus scans and data recovery

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Industry certifications such as Comp TIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions, AWS Cloud Solutions, are a plus.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 Cloud services / Office 365, Azure AD, Microsoft Teams, Apple Business Manager, and ITSM Jira Service Management
• Candidates need several years (2+) of IT helpdesk experience to be considered.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills paired with strong communication capabilities.
