THIS IS AN ON-SITE POSITION IN SALEM, NEW HAMPSHIRE, U.S.A.

We are looking for an IT Support Specialistto work as part of our Information Technology Team. You will be responsible for providing in-house technical support, overseeing personal computer hardware and software installations and maintenance, and network and system administration.
How you will accomplish this:
  • Provide first-line troubleshooting for all user technologies within the Banks’s technology footprint and resolve technical issues
  • Act as a liaison between end users of all levels and IT staff
  • Be the primary contact for employee technology requests
  • Manage the help desk ticketing system and assign and escalate user requests as appropriate
  • Modify user rights and permissions within IT infrastructure in response to approved user access requests
  • Track, review, and report user access security levels for infrastructure systems
  • Provide ad hoc training to staff on new technologies
  • Evaluate technology within purview and make recommendations for enhancements
  • Document and enhance operating procedures as required
  • Monitor system health to proactively avoid potential system unavailability
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed/assigned
What you will bring to the role:
  • High school diploma with 3 years of hands-on experience in a Windows and Help Desk environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong technical understanding of hardware, software, and networking systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting common software and hardware issues with desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers
  • A broad range of computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Windows server operating systems is preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to provide support and training to people with different levels of technical knowledge
  • Experience with user management software
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational skills for both hardware setup/storage and software archiving
  • Proficiency in step-based writing methods for documenting setup instructions and creating procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Able to work a flexible schedule (both time and location)
