Job description

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based mental health services in New Hampshire, currently has an opportunity for a full-time Systems Support Specialist in the Information Technology Department.

The IT Systems Support Specialist will work with the VP-IT to promote effective use of information systems throughout the agency. The position will be responsible for providing help desk assistance and technical support for all types of issues affecting end users, such as software problems, network breakdowns, security concerns and hardware failures. The IT Systems Support Specialist will serve as a point of contact for escalated technology concerns, serve as a liaison between the IT team and Riverbend staff, and will help coordinate Riverbend IT services via related vendors and consultants.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to staff through the daily coordination of day-to-day operations.
  • Work with other team members to help design, develop, and upgrade existing systems.
  • In coordination with VP IT, evaluate, recommend and implement new technologies as the business needs arise.
  • Assist team members in navigating staff situations, including calling people and handling ongoing communication and any necessary follow-up.
  • Work with Service Desk Coordinator to filter requests for IT services needs to appropriate staff member.
  • Guide end users on usage, security, access, and tweaking of applications and software.
  • Work with VP-IT to sustain and further develop team metrics that are informative of team success and team weaknesses.
  • Adhere to established agency and department policies and protocols.
  • In coordination with the VP-IT, work closely with and communicate the organizations needs to managed services and other IT-related vendors.
  • In coordination with the VP-IT, assist with IT-related budgets and make recommendations for short and long-term technology needs; Assist with coding of invoices for accounts payable.
  • Assist helpdesk technicians with completing day-to-day tasks, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Two plus years of progressive experience in the IT field is required, ten years preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with attention to detail is required.
  • Proficiency in Windows server management and implementation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in security system management and multi-factor authentication methods is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office365 administration skills are preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle and auto insurance is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Background in health care industry is preferred.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to be on-call after hours is required.
