IT Support Analyst

GPD is currently seeking an IT Support Analystin our Garfield Heights, OH office location.

Summary:
This Technical Support Analyst position will handle technical support requests and activities for over 600 employees located in multiple offices. This position requires strong inter-personal communication skills to effectively manage user expectations and resolve issues. We are seeking a strong, self-starter who can operate in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision. The successful candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail, quickly learn all aspects of the Help Desk support process and procedures, and be able to quickly research and resolve issues.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Receive, enter, update, and disposition help desk requests (phone, email, ticket system, in person)
  • Identify, research, and resolve hardware, software, and user issues
    • Deliver basic end-user training/guidance as needed
  • Install and configure computers, printers, phones, and peripherals
  • Follow technical documentation and instruction
  • Provide technical support and resolution for end-user hardware and software issues and requests
  • Resolve basic issues without assistance and escalate issues to Tier-2 and Tier-3 help desk as necessary
  • Coordinate small projects and activities
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Associates Degree, IT certifications, or equivalent experience
  • Recent graduate or 1-2 years’ IT experience with a small/mid-sized company
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple activities, tasks, and priorities
  • Good verbal, written, and inter-personal communications skills
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to quickly research and resolve issues
  • Experience supporting popular client operating systems (Windows 10, Mac OSX) in a networked environment.
  • Hands-on experience installing and configuring computer hardware and software, printers, monitors, mobile phones, desk phones, peripherals, etc.
  • Experience managing computer setup and deployment using standard hardware, images and software installation packages.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suites and other common business applications (Adobe Acrobat, web browsers, etc.).
  • Experience with CAD applications a plus.
  • Experience using Help Desk Ticket systems to create, manage, update, and close tickets.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and operate in a fast-paced environment.
