IT Sourcing Specialist (New Health Care Company)
3M is establishing two industry-leading companies, creating value through the spin-off of its Health Care business, while 3M will continue to be a global material science leader, focusing our innovation to win in favorable global megatrends and attractive end markets. This new Health Care Company will be a leading global diversified health technology company with:

We expect the creation of the two companies will be completed by the end of 2023. For now, we will continue to operate as one global company. This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company”.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an IT Sourcing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Developing and Implementing global sourcing strategies for assigned categories (Information Technology) to ensure business continuity and value creation.
- Establishing and Managing supplier relationships that ensure cost and service benefits to the corporation.
- Negotiating and Establishing effective supplier contract agreements, holding suppliers accountable to competitive prices, high quality and best-in-class service
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize activities for the successful integration of the sourcing strategies for the assigned categories (Information Technology) as well as overall sourcing guidelines and processes.
- Leading complex projects as well as initiatives that have a high value and broad implication to the corporation.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university AND six (6) years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, or Legal in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
- High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution AND fourteen (14) years of experience in Strategic Sourcing in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Logistics and Supply Chain from an accredited institution
- Strong negotiation skills with attention to detail
- Skilled written and oral communications
- Working knowledge of IT supplier markets
- Strong stakeholder management/influencing skills at a senior level.
- Strong business, contract language and financial acumen.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $133,435 - $163,088, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
