Senior LMR System Specialist

• Liaison between Motorola and Manatee County.
• Track and monitor P25 LMR System Cases.
• Provide Support for P25 infrastructure components and activities.
• Administrative level support for Nice and Inform.
• Work on site with Motorola and third-party vendors.
• Support Fire Station alerting.
• Provide Motorola Console configuration and hardware support.
• Work with County IT on network and security needs for the P25 system.
• Coordinate scheduling for System maintenance windows with all involved parties.
• Provide senior level support for subscriber activities including code plug development, programming, and analysis.
• Support BDA implementations with County Fire Marshalls and vendors.
• Provide field support to all County PSAPS.
• Provide on call and Hurricane support.
• Provide Microwave support on P25 and non P25 links.
• Create County and Motorola maintenance support tickets.

• One year of leadership experience

Desired Skills

• Possess: FCC General Class Radiotelephone License or APCO Certificated Technician Certificate, Network+ Certification, and Security Plus.
• Experience with Motorola P25 Simulcast Trunked Radio Systems and Dispatch Consoles.
• Aviat Microwave Systems.
• Nice Public Safety recording systems.
• Understand and interpret schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, etc.
• Proficient with R56 standards.
• Proficient in the principles of electrical, electronic, and radio theory.
• Proficient in the installation of site based two-way radio equipment.
• Advanced troubleshooting of LMR systems and components.
• Advanced programming of LMR systems and components.
• Advanced troubleshooting of IP based components and systems with strong network knowledge.
• Knowledge of Towers and Lighting Systems.
• Knowledge of RF sub-site antenna systems and associated mounting criteria.
• Proficient in LMR test equipment.
• Possess excellent technical - verbal and writing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Availability to be on call and provide Hurricane support during activations.
