Job Summary:
Security Specialists administer, coordinate, and evaluate security programs that support the strategy, policies, and standards established for the security of Medrio's assets. Assists with the development of training, education programs, and communications on security policies. Stays informed about relevant security standards and assists with audit preparations and remediation. Monitors communications and stays informed about local, national, and regional security-related information, directives, and events.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, implement, and manage IT security requirements for a global and remote workforce.
- Develop security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support information security audits and certifications.
- Monitor and maintain security controls.
- Manage asset, risk, and vulnerability processes.
- Conduct incident simulations and manage incident response.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
- Provide ongoing education about current cyber security threats.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in cybersecurity.
Skills/Areas of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or Computer Science.
- 2+ years of experience.
- Experience with Windows, Mac, IOS, and Android device security and administration.
- Experience with SIEM tools.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 security and administration.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and self-manage time and resources.
- Strong written and verbal skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and be a team player.
- Certifications are a bonus.
