SUMMARY:
Develop, maintain, and execute test automation scripts for mid to large scale IT Applications. Design test automation architecture, define testing techniques to accelerate testing with the highest levels of quality and accuracy to deliver high-quality experience to our customers with the least amount of risk to the business. Assist in evaluating test automation tools, methodologies and define procedures, guidelines for the automation testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze system architecture and create detailed test automation plan and drive test automation framework design and development that addresses functionality, integration, dataflows, resiliency, scalability, and reliability of the application.
- Monitor the effectiveness of testing, provide mentoring and suggestions to optimize testing practices.
- Analyze existing test automation framework, test coverage, and identify opportunities for redesign, reusability improving efficiency and performance.
- Evaluate various aspects of test environment, including configurations, properties, and master data necessary to execute test cases successfully and identify areas of improvement.
- Apply critical thinking, experience, and research sources in the design and implementation of automated solutions which improve application quality, test case coverage and defect reduction.
- Ensure compatibility of applications and databases with others via automated interface test scripts development.
- Recommend and adopt emerging technologies to ensure optimal performance of the applications.
- Develop, maintain, and implement standards and methodologies for automated scripting via selected technologies.
- Ensure quality of all development deliverables through test case designing development and coding of executable scripts.
- Provide subject matter expertise.
- Analyze change requests to provide development, automation efforts and estimates.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree.
- 5 years of test automation experience.
- Hands on experience developing mid to large scale automated test scripts.
- Experience testing complex systems built with microservices architecture.
- Experience with test data design and test environment preparation.
- Experience testing applications built on OpenShift and Kafka.
- Hands on experience writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and comparison.
- Experience using github for source code management and version control.
- Hands on experience in Java programming.
- Experience using Cucumber, RestAssured, Selenium.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence and QTest for test management.
- Detailed knowledge of HTTP and REST API.
- Experience testing with CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins.
- Self-driven, ability to analyze and complete tasks on their own.
- Excellent planning & organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Capability to quickly learn other platforms.
- Possess the technical skills required to successfully present technical solutions to non-technical business teams.
- Independent, creative, and out of the box thinker.
- Experience developing automation scripts for mobile applications is a plus.
- Travel to remote sites as required (< 10%).
- Regular sitting at workstation for 25 – 75% of the work shift.
- Frequent standing and walking.

Annual Salary of $95,880 to $112,800. This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include but are not limited to your specific skills, your work location, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
