Role: IT Project Manager Lead
Duration: Long Term
Location: Charlotte, NC; Conshohocken, PA; Florham Park, NJ; Purchase, NY (HYBRID)
Note: PMP certification and P&C Insurance experience and someone managing PMO would be a good fit, Managing multiple projects and Project manager's at a same time.
ROLE SUMMARY

The IT Project Manager Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of IT projects and programs and will manage a team of Project Managers offshore and onshore. This role will work with Project Managers and IT teams to execute projects, then align deliveries to expected business outcomes and financial plans.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of offshore and onshore Project Managers.
  • Support the team through successful delivery of their projects. This includes prioritizing tasks, the allocation of resources for each objective, provide thorough guidance and direction throughout the process, conduct deliverables of reviews/feedback, issue resolutions, and serve as an escalation point on projects as needed.
  • Conduct team personnel actions including hiring and team development.
  • Enforce adherence to established PMLC and SDLC processes, for all projects run by the team.
  • Prepare related information for audit as needed.
  • Perform responsibilities on key projects and programs.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate project/portfolio risk for cross project dependencies.
  • Monitor the results, effectiveness, and overall quality of each project managed by the team.
  • Ensure project-status reporting is complete on a timely basis. Project reporting must be correct, useful, and include complete information for every team project.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in IT project and program management, including managing large-scale IT projects or programs of significant complexity, value, and risk.
  • 2+ years of experience managing an IT project management office/PMO
  • Possess exemplary core program and project management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influence-motivational skills, capable of balancing multiple perspectives, effective at all levels of discipline.
  • Possess sound business and technical acumen, with an eagerness to learn and ability to quickly become comfortable with unfamiliar business areas or technology.
  • Candidate can connect programs/projects to broader organizational goals. With a purpose to grasp the key performance drivers of business partners.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex issues, policies, requirements, and industry information affecting the business environment. Candidate will seek opportunities to improve the team's business outcomes.
  • Solid knowledge and expertise in the use and enforcement of program management methodologies. Expert, hands-on experience using PPM tools.

  • Possess an expertise within all aspects of requirements and testing processes.
  • Candidate is detail-oriented and extremely organized.
  • Candidate has proven managerial and analytical abilities.
  • Candidate has strong business planning and prioritization skills.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and proactively identify risks to project timelines.
  • Able to work across organizational boundaries and can bring people together with diverse perspectives, to overall find solutions.

  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal (business) communications skills.
  • Possess personal time management skills with the ability to meet individual/team deadlines.
  • Be able to handle multiple priorities and proactively identify risks to project timelines.
  • Candidate is a team player who works well with technical and business resources.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus, but not required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors or master's degree in computer science or a related field
  • CPCU Designation or advanced degree is a plus, but not required.
