IT Network Systems Administrator
About the Role / Position Summary
IT Network Systems Administrator supports the day-to-day IT systems administration in partnership with the rest of the IT team. Responsibilities include solving service tickets for systems and networking issues and training for new and terminating employees regarding technology assets and access to FEG systems.
Position Responsibilities
Hardware and Software Administration (Set up and Maintenance) – 50%
  • Install/build, test, and maintain a variety of computer and network hardware and software systems including servers, laptops, desktops, communications equipment (digital & IP phones, video conference), and office equipment;
  • Perform diagnostics tests and modify or repair hardware systems as needed;
  • Provide front-end support to office personnel, both onsite and remotely via email, phone, remote session, and face-to-face;
  • Assist users in troubleshooting and resolving problems with hardware, software, office and communications equipment, network and remote connectivity;
Data & Asset Management – 30%
  • Manage group policies and active directory;
  • Relocate users as required, when they are assigned to a new office or work area. This includes breaking down, transporting and setting up equipment, checking connectivity, and ensuring the satisfactory operational status of the users in their new areas;
Training & Project Management – 20%
  • Provide regular and ongoing training to users in both large and small groups, and individualized training as necessary for new or modified equipment and software.
  • Assist with IT projects as assigned by the department lead.

What We Expect / Qualifications
  • Associate degree in computer science or information systems or commensurate work experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a technology team at a mid-size company, preferably finance or investment-related.
  • 2+ years’ experience with setup and maintenance of office and communication equipment.
  • Must be able to proactively perform analysis on all types of problems and issues, professionally suggest solutions, and implement as quickly and efficiently as possible to the satisfaction of the internal customer;
  • Exemplary knowledge Microsoft 365 (Intune, Entra, Defender, etc.), Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki and DNS and ability to learn internal proprietary software. MCSE Certification preferred.
  • Must be able to lift and carry monitors, PCs and related peripherals short distances and/or use a hand-truck or dolly where necessary, to transport and set up PCs and other technology equipment.
