Position Summary
The IT & Network Specialist acts as the first point of contact for employees needing assistance with software, hardware, network, and mobile devices. Collaborating with the VP of Information Services, the IT & Network Specialist also supports company initiatives and departments projects. This position will be responsible for managing and completing tasks that require significant autonomy, resourcefulness, and adaptability.
Essential Functions
Act as a steward for SOCII and ISO certification initiatives, ensuring the integrity and security of company data.
- Assist with maintenance and technical operation of:
- Multi-host VM/VXRail VM environment
- MS Windows Workstations / MS Windows Servers
- MS Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
- MS Exchange (or equivalent)
- MS SQL servers
- Troubleshoot all network connectivity related issues
- Installation of all network related communications drops
- Assist with maintenance of VOIP telephone system
- Installation and maintenance of:
- network devices such as printers, scanners, switches
- end user workstations
- security systems such as video and door locks
- Willingness to accept direction from supervisors and welcome input from peers to improve quality and performance
- Implement policies and procedures related to information technology, as directed
- Maintain IT policies and protocol, including PII/PPI
- Evaluate new network technologies and services
- Insure on-time delivery of all assigned projects and objectives
- Provide documentation and tracking of information such as hardware and software inventory
- Other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient skills in VM-ware and VM-sphere
- Broad knowledge and applied practice in computer hardware and network tasks
- Ability to take initiative with new and existing projects; a self-starter who seeks resources to learn new tasks
- Adept at problem-solving and resourcefulness
- Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with great attention to detail
- Adaptable to change in a fluid, rapidly changing environment
- Work successfully in both a team environment and independently, with considerable self-direction
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in related field of study
- One year of practical experience in the KSA’s listed above
Non-essential Qualifications (desirable but not required at time of entry):
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
- Prior experience in the print and mail industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.50 - $30.00 per hour
