IT Manager/Systems Administrator
Join the largest locally owned and operated commercial waste management company in Hawaii. Honolulu Disposal Service is seeking an experienced IT Manager/Systems Administrator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for maintaining all hardware and software for the company, as well as implementing new technology to improve company efficiencies.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage, administer, and support company computers, VOIP, cell phones, and other equipment
- Manage Company ERP system and partner with vendor to debug and improve software
- Support systems either connected or related to the ERP software
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical aspects of projects
- Evaluate business requirements of all departments to determine technology needs
- Communicate and educate verbally and in writing with various levels of staff
- Troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware or software faults
Ideal candidate should have:
- Broad knowledge of electronic, telephone, computer, and network systems, particularly data management systems
- Knowledge of relational databases, writing queries, and building user friendly reports based on complex data sets.
- Experience with Microsoft applications and tools, DNS, domains and DHCP, Active Directory and group policy, SQL Server, and server management and configuration.
- Strong ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Good organization and planning skills
- Working knowledge of various office equipment: VOIP phones, fax, scanners, photocopiers, etc.)
- Previous experience in information technology or other related fields
- Strong project management skills
- Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
- Strong project management skills with experience in managing and implementing new IT systems and upgrades.
