To strengthen our Information Technology team, based in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium, or Raleigh, North Carolina, US, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of
IT Lead Safety Case Processing
About the role:
This role has global accountability for all IT systems that enable the Adverse Event (AE) Case Processing as defined by Patient Safety.
This role will ensure compliant, resilient and secure operations of the Adverse Event Case Processing applications in Patient Safety, will ensure compliant and secure AE data transfer with regulators, with the Patient Safety partners; with UCB’s commercial partners.
The geographical scope is global. It covers all the functional teams that span the global as well as the affiliate-based AE Case Processing teams. The role will also have to partner with the Global QA team, with the Japanese Patient Safety team (local IT patient systems) and other UCB teams as required.
All IT systems in this scope are GxP systems, subject to regulations, inspections and audits.
What you’ll do:
- Demonstrate deep understanding of global Patient Safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders, translating requirements into efficient, aligned solutions.
- Foster open communication and partnerships for enhanced stakeholder satisfaction and business objectives.
- Take full ownership of IT solutions for patient Safety Case Processing, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Lead IT projects, ensuring resilient operations and identifying efficiency opportunities within patient Safety Case Processing.
- Drive digital transformation in patient safety, identifying automation and insights opportunities, and managing change.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Fluent in English.
- +3 years IT experience, preferably in global pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
- Proven track record (3+ years) managing complex software implementation programs/projects.
- Broad understanding of Patient Safety processes, workflows, and profound knowledge of drug development.
- Experience in Safety Database, Safety Cloud Platform, and Safety Migration Program is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring within scope, time, and budget.
