IT Helpdesk Intern Responsibilities:
Responding to client support tickets/requests.
Manage and monitor tickets in the IT Helpdesk software queue.
Track and maintain hardware inventory.
Traveling to the client’s location to personally assist staff members.
Troubleshooting level 1 and some level 2 hardware and software issues.
Installing and maintaining hardware such as PCs, printers, phones, and copiers.
Escalations to engineering teams on network outages.
Assist Network and Systems Engineer when needed.
Advising on software or hardware upgrades.
Providing basic training in computer operation and management to clients.
IT Helpdesk Intern Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, and/or 3-6 months’ work experience in related field.
Experience with setting/wiring up PC workstations and desktop printers.
Some work experience as a desktop support or helpdesk technician is desired.
Knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
Some knowledge of Microsoft 365 Suite apps.
Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues.
Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
