Position Summary

Design, maintain and improve company technical systems, programs and processes. Support company systems, on-premise and in the cloud, through the use of integration tools, programming and scripting. Provide database support within an Oracle environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Under guidance of management will be responsible for managing projects and assignments on an as-needed basis, including liaising with management, users, other project teams, consultants and vendors.

2. Define integration development objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality. The individual will be responsible for requirements gathering, development, testing and production deployment and support efforts. Evaluate and apply software solutions to fulfill business client needs, suggesting improvements and resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways. Incorporate data analysis techniques to provide insight. Improve overall quality, productivity and effectiveness involving client departments in process flow analysis, redesign of business processes and application of technology to processes.

3. Configures Oracle environment to efficiently support ERP and business needs. Configure and monitor database backup and recovery. Database scripting and data updates.

4. Maintain database and application integrity and security with respect to system modifications and processes. Prepare system, application and procedural documentation. Review and improve documentation created by others.

5. Integration performance optimization and tuning best practices. Ensure that uniform enterprise-wide integration design standards are maintained.

6. Administer the integration and data platforms (such as Dell Boomi, EDI, SSIS, etc.). Develop and support ETL and web service-based data integrations using Dell Boomi/SQL. Provide support and maintenance for EDI platforms, REST and SOAP API’s.

7. Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements. Encode programs, prepare test data, test and debug programs. Incorporate new technologies and techniques and train and guide others to do so.

8. Monitor trends in technology; research, validate, and build recommendations to implement new technologies, frameworks, or methodologies. Consult with software vendors, consultants and internal business users to research and identify opportunities and to learn and recommend new applications and technologies. Contribute to and influence the technical direction and solutions of the enterprise, including internally developed systems, purchased on-premise, licensed as a service and hosted.

9. Perform design and code reviews. Coordinate implementations of various projects with other project teams, including code merges, version releases, infrastructure requirements and other dependencies.

10. Create, reinforce and facilitate use of good technical standards and practices by internal and external resources and support quality efficient results in orderly maintainable environments.

Required Education and Experience:

• BS in Computer Science or related discipline

• 5+ years post-collegiate relevant experience. Any mainstream programming language (Java, .Net, ...) is a plus

• Oracle and PL/SQL experience is required

• Solid experience with integration software – Experience with Boomi will be a bonus

• Professional experience with ERP systems a huge plus

• Knowledge of microservice architectures and web services– SOAP, REST, etc.

• Prior experience architecting business solutions with Middleware, RDBMSs, and scripting languages
