The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' IT department is currently seeking a SQL Database Administrator to handle the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance and security of the database(s). Including the development and design of database strategies, system monitoring, improving database performance, and capacity and planning for future expansion requirements.
Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $160,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be Ready To:
- analyze and code data and structure requirements for timely delivery
- write, review, test and approve SQL scripts, stored procedures and queries
- provide support to application developers
- maintain, build, backup, and retore multiple SQL databases
- participate in an on-call rotation to provide assigned service and project after-hours support
Be Equipped With:
Required:
- development experience with SQL Server 2016 or later
- administrative experience with SQL Server 2016 or later
- experience with Spotlight or other monitoring tools
Desired:
- knowledge of XML
- experience with profiler trace and execution plan analysis
- comprehension of VB.Net code
- knowledge of terabyte sized databases
- experience with Idera or other audit tools
- experience with Redgate or other data and structure compare tools
