Internship Overview
Nasdaq's Internship Program provides outstanding opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience during a 10-week internship. As part of the program, you will partner with a mentor, network with senior colleagues, and take on a real-world project with real-world impact and gain practical skills that will help shape your career for years to come. Additionally, you will meet with senior leaders and participate in professional development activities throughout your internship.
Your role and responsibilities
- Documents preliminary audit findings on the quality of controls across all risk creating areas including, but not limited to operations, finance, regulatory, technology, M&A, and clearing.
- Performs routine activities, with some multi-tasking, on a single project.
- Participates in planning, interviews, and assessments of basic controls and procedures together with a senior auditor.
- Tests basic controls and procedures under supervision of a senior auditor.
- Participates in discussions regarding developing smart control recommendations.
- Reports preliminary findings and drafts parts of the internal audit recommendation.
Internship Program Requirements
- Must be a rising senior enrolled full time for the upcoming semester in an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related major, i.e. Computer Science or Information Systems and on-track to graduate
- 10-week commitment with availability to start in June
- Proactive, responsive team player who can thrive in a dynamic and changing environment
- Motivated self-starter who is results-driven
- Special Qualifications with professional auditing certifications and proficiency in servers, operating systems, and databases
