The IT Application Administrator collaborates and works with different roles within ITS, including Business Analysts, Business Process Analysts, Project Managers, Information Architects, and Systems Administrators. The job responsibilities are challenging and varied. The administrator will be responsible for Information Management repositories designed for specialized content.
As part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) division, the Information Management team is helping SRP (Salt River Project) empower a data-driven and collaborative organization through the optimization and delivery of information assets. Our team focuses on quality solutions using Web and Digital Asset Management as part of an overarching Enterprise Content Management philosophy.
Our group supports solutions for managing digital assets (audio, image, video, etc.), web sites (html pages, images, page assets), and engineering drawings (MicroStation and AutoCAD).
- Provide day to day administration, support, and monitoring of systems including identifying systems problems, assessing severity of the issues and prioritizing responses as appropriate.
- Consult with business subject matter experts to deliver and mature solutions including design, implementation, and migration phases translating business requirements into functional solutions
- Support integrations with other applications
- Develop access solution via TIBCO; team provides knowledge of APIs and repository best practices
- Support of vendor supplied modules for linking repositories
- Work with vendor to promote requested SRP feature sets
- Monitor business unit activity to find and implement automation
- Work with other IT teams on system error remediation
- Plan and perform periodic patching and platform upgrades
- Develop and maintain operational documentation
- Responsible for executing the application roadmap
- Provide tier 2 and 3 technical and functional support
- Participate in weekly on-call rotation
- Handle other duties and special projects as assigned
Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years experience at Level 1 and demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of 3 years experience at Level 2, is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.
The following are key to be being successful in this role:
- Demonstrated proficiency with supporting tools , including Microsoft SQL, Apache Tomcat, SOLR, Microsoft IIS, and PowerShell
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with the stakeholders, ITS Technical staff, and team members at all levels of the organization as well as vendors and consultants is required.
- Demonstrates ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently.
Experience in the following technologies and the environments in which they run is preferred:
- Bentley ProjectWise
- IPV
- OpenText Media Management
- OpenText LiveSite
- OpenText TeamSite
- Transcoding Solutions (AME, FFMPEG, etc.)
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
