We are seeking a personable and motivated IT Specialist to ensure FIKA and its staff have the technology setup needed to complete daily tasks. This person will work closely with our team to establish processes and procedures that support growth in our organization.
Job Responsibilities:
· Installation and Maintenance of IT Equipment: Responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of computer devices, phones, and physical security systems across all business locations. This includes setting up phone lines, and voicemails, and ensuring the reliable operation of all IT hardware.
· System and Platform Integration: Ensure seamless integration between software platforms like Microsoft Office 365, Vagaro Pro, SimpliSafe, and others to support operational efficiency and data integrity.
· User Access Management: Manage user accounts and permissions across all platforms, ensuring secure and appropriate access, particularly focusing on compliance with healthcare regulations for the protection of Personal Health Information (PHI).
· Technical Support and Training: Offer technical support to staff, troubleshoot system issues, and provide training on the effective use of systems and software to enhance productivity.
· Network and Security Management: Oversee network infrastructure and implement security measures to protect company data and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, safeguarding all PHI.
· Vendor and Subscription Management: Manage relationships with software and hardware vendors, maintain subscriptions, and ensure all IT services meet business needs and compliance standards.
· Documentation, Compliance, and Training: Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, user access controls, and compliance measures. Ensure staff are trained on the importance of HIPAA compliance and secure handling of PHI.
· Programming and Web Development: Utilize skills in VBA, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript for custom solutions, automation, and maintenance of company websites or internal tools.
Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
· Experience: At least 3 years of experience in IT/IS roles with a focus on systems integration, hardware maintenance, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in installing and maintaining IT and communication equipment. Expertise in network management, data security, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Practical skills in VBA, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript for web development and automation tasks.
· Certifications: Relevant IT certifications are preferred (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, HIPAA Compliance Officer).
· Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving capabilities, strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across departments, and a proactive approach to IT management.

· Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and changes in healthcare regulations.
· Collaboration: Work closely with all departments to understand their IT needs and ensure systems support those needs effectively, while also maintaining compliance.
· Security and Compliance Focus: Emphasize the importance of securing sensitive data, particularly PHI, in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
