ISSS Student Staff will serve the office in two capacities:
- Front-line Student Advisor assisting with general immigration, cultural and adjustment inquiries as well as document pick up from the ISSS office. Front-line Student Advisors serve as the eyes and ears of the office in detecting student issues, anticipating problems, and proposing solutions to their ISSS supervisor. Our office is very keen on seeking student perspectives in all our services to be more effective, and Student Advisors often serve in this capacity in the office and the university in general.
- Admissions & programming support requires assisting with the immigration document creation process and programming for international students and scholars. As admissions and programming support, student staff will be expected to respond to email and phone inquiries, evaluate financial documents, and update sensitive student files in the office database (Sunapsis) while also assisting with programming logistics for orientation and cultural programs as needed.

- Experience in F-1/J-1 immigration status preferred
The ISSS Supervisors will organize work projects for ISSS Student Staff to ensure their work is mutually beneficial.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Immigration regulations limit employment eligibility for students on F-1 and J-1 visas. They can only work on campus for 20 hours/week while the school is in session and more hours during school breaks.
ISSS requires a minimum of 10 hours/week and three days of physical presence in ISSS. Hours may vary depending on the office operations.
