Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Irrigation Technician’s must perform the following irrigation duties to residential and some commercial properties through the spring, summer, and fall months:
- Irrigation startups/blowouts
- Irrigation service
- Landscape lighting
- Backflow testing
- Training crew members on various irrigation services
- Placing orders of specific irrigation parts needed for larger jobs
- Plow snow during the winter months
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the irrigation department consisting of 2-5 crews. Duties would include:
- Training crew members on various irrigation services
- Reviewing orders of irrigation parts and maintaining irrigation inventory
- Placing orders of specific irrigation parts needed for larger jobs
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Ability to possess DOT medical card
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Irrigation Technician on both commercial and residential properties
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues effectively and efficiently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
