Iron Worker Steel Erector/ Fabricator

Alamo Door Systems is looking for experienced Iron Workers/steel fabricators that can read drawings and fabricate/erect/service steel aircraft hangar doors, larger roll up, and sectional overhead doors. The primary role of this position is to process raw steel into finished product, including but not limited to sawing, punching, plasma cutting, welding, painting and installation of very large doors. Must be willing to work outdoors in most weather.  Mechanical aptitude and critical thinking are paramount.

Skills /Qualifications

• Must have prior Iron Worker experience erecting & fabricating steel
• Ability to read and understand steel erection/fabrication drawings
• Ability to operate and maintain fabrication tools and equipment
• Erection equipment operation experience (forklifts, man lifts, rigging)
• Problem solving skills and good communication skills
• Proficient Welder

• Fabricate and erect structural framing for large Aircraft Door Systems
• Erect Large roll up doors
• Erect large Over Head type doors
• Operate forklifts, man lifts, Telehandlers
• Weld, Mig/FC/Stick
