Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Ironworkers for a project located in Belle Chasse, LA. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $31-33/hour based on experience and skill level plus $85 per diem for candidates living more than 60 miles from the job site. Job Scope:
- Identify All Tools Required for Tasks
- Identify Safety Risks and the Precautions Required to Eliminate Risks
- Fabricate Equipment According to Blueprints or Instructions from Supervisors
- Hoist Equipment and Tools into a Location via Bull Rigging or Crane
- Verify Vertical or Horizontal Alignment of Structural Steel Members Using Plumb Bobs, Laser Equipment, Transits, and/or Levels
- Connect Columns, Beams, and Girders with Bolts Following Blueprints
- Bolt Aligned Structural Steel Members in Position for Permanent Riveting or Bolting
- Pull, Push, or Pry Iron/Steel Equipment into Approximate Positions for Bolting into Place
- Cut, Bend, and Weld Iron/Steel Pieces Using Metal Sheers, Torches, and Welding Equipment
- Other Tasks as Assigned
Requirements:
- 4+ Years of Experience as an Ironworker Helper or Structural Ironworker
- Must be able to Work at Heights in Excess of 300 ft.
- Must Have all Required Tools
*Sign on Bonus paid in 4 parts - $500 on weeks 1, 3, 5, and 8
