POSITION PURPOSE: The Sr. Manager, Business Analytics, reporting directly to the Head of Pricing and Sales Analytics is instrumental in delivering pivotal analytics and driving the data strategy of the company. This position manages detailed reporting across various sales channels, creates in-depth dashboards, and provides thorough product and market analyses. Responsibilities also include generating sophisticated POS analytics, crafting monthly business review and volume flash decks, and contributing to significant strategic projects and initiatives. This role requires a proactive and influential approach to refining our analytical processes, significantly enhancing our decision-making capabilities and strategic planning.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting and Dashboards: Design, develop, and maintain advanced reporting dashboards to monitor sales performance across different channels, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Sales Channel Ownership: Take full ownership of analytics by sales channel, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas of concern that affect business outcomes.
- Product Analytics: Conduct deep dives into product performance, providing insights that influence product strategy and development.
- Market Analytics: Generate sophisticated point-of-sale (POS) and market analytics, including Market Maps and weather-related data analysis, offering actionable insights to drive sales strategies and market positioning. Utilize these tools to predict market trends and adapt strategies to meet changing environmental and market conditions.
- Business Reviews: Prepare and present monthly business review and volume flash decks to senior management, highlighting key trends, variances, and forecasts.
- Strategic and Project Support: Support the Head of Pricing and Sales Analytics and Senior Leadership in strategic projects with long-term implications. Provide project management and analytical support to key continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring projects align with broader business goals and contribute to operational excellence.
- Financial Planning: Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly financial forecasting processes, applying analytical insights to inform and refine financial strategies.
- Data Strategy and AI Integration: Play an integral part in shaping the company's data strategy. Champion the adoption of AI tools to automate data processes, enhance predictive analytics, and uncover deeper insights, thereby driving innovation and efficiency in decision-making.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including IT, sales, finance, and operations, to ensure data insights and AI-driven tools are effectively utilized to optimize business strategies.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Analytics or a related field, with proven expertise in managing large datasets, conducting complex analyses and working with business partners to support decision making
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in SAP and experience with Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
- Strong skills in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in a business context is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations. Must have a strong aptitude for critical thinking and problem-solving.
