If this aligns with your values and you want to join a leader in the banking industry, we are hiring for an Investments Operations Systems Manager that will be responsible for the day-to-day functional operations of portfolio accounting and safekeeping operations services including overall FED and BNY/DTC payments management, BSA/BIA management, departmental systems testing, and occasional staff supervision.
MAJOR DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Serves as a primary point of contact for both bond accounting and safekeeping partners, including high level partner support, and any associated reporting.
- Serves as departmental trainer regarding bond accounting and safekeeping processes.
- Serves as departmental backup or alternate for all operational and bond accounting services, including management/supervisory functions.
- Serves as departmental BSA, BIA, and systems testing supervisory officer.
- Responsible for system maintenance including, third party market price review, third-party indicative data review, monthly call processing, purchases, sells and payments, as well as pledge and release activities.
- Responsible for the new account/customer setup and conversion process for both safekeeping and portfolio accounting customers.
- Responsible for providing customer training regarding portfolio accounting and other operational activities.
- Maintains a thorough and comfortable knowledge of the InTrader accounting and safekeeping system.
- Maintains the TIB portfolio including, reporting, balancing appropriate general ledger accounts, and maintaining physical documentation.
- Cross-trains and provides backup for all operational processes.
- Complies with all banking laws and regulations, and maintains the confidentiality of bank and customer information.
REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices
- Strong account reconciliation and balancing skills
- Excellent external and internal customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Individual should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work within and foster a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across all levels
- Software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- 5-7 years of accounting experience
- 5-7 years of fixed income securities experience
- 1-3 years of prior supervisory experience
- Software: Adobe Acrobat; Bloomberg; InTrader
