We aim to empower institutional investors to achieve their goals by delivering outstanding investment advice and solutions, based on a strong foundation of research, analysis, innovation, and trust. 

We are seeking an Investment Senior Sales Director to join our growth team, helping drive the success of our US investment business by connecting client demand with our intellectual capital, increasing the penetration of our solutions into the US corporate pension plan market and identifying new and relevant solutions to improve client outcomes. 

We offer a range of services across different delivery models, spanning Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution investment advice, Outsourced CIO (OCIO) solutions) and Specialist Portfolio Solutions (SPS). We pride ourselves on being a thought leader, particularly in the areas of Sustainability/Environmental Social Governance and Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and the right candidate can play a leading role in refining and executing a commercial strategy here as well, working with Global Sustainability Solutions leaders. 

You will be part of a motivated and aligned team of industry-leading commercial talent which emphasizes collaboration, intellectual integrity, and respect. Success in the role will come helping the business meet its broader commercial target through new sales, expanding work with existing clients and more. You will help develop clear and persuasive content around our capabilities, brand, and work with investment leaders on new potential solutions for the market.  The role reports to the Head of Growth, US.

The Role

Sales execution and discipline:

  • Help sell WTW investment solutions to the market, leveraging existing relationships (primarily through our retirement channel) to grow awareness of the value proposition we bring to corporate Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution plans 
  • Execute on sales plans, managing the pitch processes, partnering with colleagues to tailor the message to our clients and display business development discipline through the process
  • Ensure high quality, high impact consulting and sales materials 

Investment content and market engagement 

  • Work with our intellectual capital engine to ensure our best ideas are integrated in our commercial proposition
  • For the right candidate, lead on integrating sustainability into our new business solutions and building our pipeline and brand as a thought leader here
  • Raise external profile at conferences and industry networking events

Demonstrate leadership, collaboration and support:

  • Be a culture leader within the team, focusing on client excellence, team collaboration and respect
  • Pro-actively support and develop your colleagues to be successful in their own roles

The Requirements

We welcome candidates with a broad range of experiences and career backgrounds though expertise in the pensions and investment industry is a plus. 

  • Suitable relevant experience preferably including a track record of creating/executing on sales initiatives, commercial development, or growth leadership 
  • Collaborative leadership and influencing skills. Ability to work closely with peers and influence key stakeholders, with an ability and desire to build relationships 
  • Display of broad business development skills, including collaboration, crafting high impact collateral, presentation/pitching skills, client/colleague empathy and adaptability
  • An authentic leader who cares deeply about helping colleagues succeed in their careers 
  • Project management skills including the ability to work successfully in cross-discipline teams to ensure successful delivery of projects

Compensation and Benefits (US)

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role.

Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is 200,000 – 225,000 USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
