Job description

Position Summary: In compliance with established policies and procedures the Investment Operations Officer supports all phases of the transaction lifecycle for equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. The Operations professional will be a key contributor to an experienced and growing team responsible for the daily support of our Private Wealth Advisors and longer-term strategic project work.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Communicates with custodians, banks, brokers, and third-party vendors to resolve issues related to daily processes, data delivery, trade settlement, and other operational matters.
  • Work closely with existing operations staff to ensure operational consistency and implement superior solutions.
  • Processes new external managers on custodial platform with our interfaces
  • Coordination of alternative investment support, including contributions, redemptions, capital calls, distributions, and valuation
  • Maintains security master, trading restrictions, and various other account and portfolio-level details.
  • Responds to various internal requests in support of new client onboarding, portfolio management, and trust considerations.
  • Ensures the data integrity of periodic and ad hoc reports for internal and external consumption.
  • Coordinates voluntary and mandatory corporate action processing and proxy voting.
  • Assist with portfolio model trading and rebalancing.
  • Required regular attendance at the FineMark location designated in this job description, during regular business hours, or assigned hours for the position, is required. This is not a remote-work position
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Required Education, Skills, and Experience:


  • 3 – 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in wealth management, fund administration, or other financial services
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field preferred
  • Portfolio accounting and performance experience
  • Good understanding of financial markets required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Organizational skills to manage data, projects, and processes
  • Knowledge of Addepar and/or FIS TrustDesk a plus

Visual Acuity Requirements. Close visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus, with or without correction, are required to perform activities such as, viewing a computer monitor or written materials and documents; reading; writing; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; close visual inspection. Some distance vision and color vision may be necessary.

Environmental Conditions. A person is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and only exposed to moderate noise; they may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts or machinery such as a copier/printer.
