• Ability to assess client needs and communicate effectively with clients
• Condensing data points and forming them into a story for all levels of clients
• Holding your Illinois Life & Health license; or obtain within first three months of hire

This position requires that you have......

• 2 years or more of experience in the financial or investment industry
• Bachelor's Degree in business related field, preferred
• Series 7 License
• Progress towards or currently hold a CFA® designation, preferred
• Knowledge of and experience using MorningStar / YCharts
• Experience with high-net-worth clients, preferred

Investment Research

• Review client's statements and financial plans, analyze their current positions, their risk tolerance, and be able to provide recommendations that will assist the advisors in their meetings
• Review asset allocation and asset location as well as identify areas in which a client is overweighted or underweighted in a given asset class
• Keep abreast of the markets and be able to communicate NM's stance or rational by listening / watching NM's weekly investment-based webinars or podcasts
• Ad hoc, deep dives into complex client accounts or servicing issues

Portfolio Construction

• Help construct model portfolios for advisory clients
• Assist in quarterly rebalancing of model portfolios and ongoing monitoring of portfolio tilts
• Work hand-in-hand with our third-party investment consults / fund family managers to assist in fund selection efforts for both individual high-net-worth portfolios as well as model portfolios

Client Support

• Sit in on client review meetings with the advisor in order to help convey recommendations and investment rational to the client(s)
• Review client's financial plans to assist in the recommendation of distribution strategies to maximize their retirement while looking for ways to reduce their overall tax burden

SALARY & BENEFITS

• $65,000 - $95,000 base salary ( dependent on licenses, credentials, and experience)
