Investment Accounting Advisor

A member of the Treasury Accounting Team of the Office of the Controller, provides quantitative and qualitative analysis of the Long-Term Investment Pool (LTIP) consisting of over 6,200 endowment funds worth $7.1 billion. Responsible for maintaining the endowment distribution system and administering the accounting functions for the individual endowment funds; breaks down the endowment pool in various buckets as needed for financials and audit purposes; interacts with and educates fiscal officers, development personnel, and donors regarding endowment funds; calculates the monthly market value per share (MVPS) and annual distribution per share (DPS) for the LTIP; prepares monthly endowment summary reports, including asset allocation percentages, and monthly reconciliations; projects and models the impact of various investment returns on the LTIP's MVPS and DPS calculations for future fiscal years; forecasts income earned, internal cash flows and distributions for long-term change in total valuation projections and for annual budget reporting purposes; assists in preparing quarterly and annual reports and special reports as requested; monitors endowment information and helps manage improvements and updates for department website; prepares and updates documentation of practices and procedures; Actively seeks and communicates opportunities to create efficiencies in team processes; utilizes Workday Financials to initiate and process journal entries and deposits.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. Six (6) years of investment fund accounting experience. Experience with all Microsoft software; ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects. Advanced level Excel experience. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent analytical, customer service, organizational and time management skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in business administration or related field, or a CFA or CPA. Experience with Workday financials. Experience with Fundriver Balance. Experience with Blackbaud or other fundraising software.
Additional Information:
The Target Hiring Range for this position is $73,100 to $97,500 per year.
