Job Duties

*This position is fully remote*
This position provides technical support and research in locating and apprehending probation absconders within the VADOC. Will work as a unit liaison between various VADOC units, multiple state, federal and local law enforcement agencies, as well as community professionals. Will gather and analyze data, conduct research and develop reports by accessing various law enforcement and public databases and sources. Assist in creating reports, spreadsheets, top 10 lists and presentation materials for meetings and conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of analytical application programs and software to produce maps, text, tables, graphs, and charts. Knowledge of researching, writing, publishing and presenting analytical products. Knowledge of automated offender management databases and/or other information technology systems utilized in a corrections, criminal justice and/or law enforcement environment. Experience in internet research. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and representatives both inside and outside of VADOC to obtain and categorize intelligence related information and materials.

Additional Considerations

Experience in corrections, law enforcement or related research and analysis coupled with the ability to develop presentations and reports for multiple levels of staff.
