Investigative Analyst

We are seeking a highly-motivated professional employee with experience in providing superior customer service in support of our mission to promote integrity, efficiency, and accountability within the Department of Justice.Qualifications: To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level obtained in the Federal or public sector. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.) Specialized experience must demonstrate your experience involving investigative techniques to research, analyze and compile data; use data mining tools; draft reports; assist in conducting investigative researches using analytical software to aid in investigative principles, techniques, methods and procedures.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level obtained in the Federal or public sector. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.) Specialized experience must demonstrate your experience to independently use investigative techniques to research, analyze and compile data; use data mining tools; conduct investigative research using analytical software to aid in investigative principles, techniques, methods and procedures.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade level (or equivalent).Education: There are no positive education requirements for this position.
All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
