As an Emergency DepartmentInventory Technician, you will:
- Identify, pick, and distribute inventoried stock items to maintain par levels for assigned departments
- Restock floor shelving, fill orders and respond to requests for supplies
- Know where all items are kept in the Storeroom and be able to help customers find requested items
- Interact with external and internal customers for supply needs on phone, throughout hospital and in the storeroom
- Help keep storeroom clean and organized
- Ensure supplies delivered in timely and accurate manner
- Perform duties as assigned
- Distributes non stock deliveries as needed
- Retrieve items from the Material Management Department when indicated
- Ensure that ED items are reviewed for expiration dates, review items for special orders, stock rooms with linen and replenish IV carts, cord management in individual rooms
- Rotate through a variety of departments and understands the needs of each department
Qualification includes:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years relevant experience or prior inventory experience preferred
- Experience using PAR Excellence System preferred
- Must be able to lift, pull, and push at up to 50 lbs. preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills preferred
